How it’s Made
I love learning new crochet stitches and at some point I became fascinated by the Bavarian stitch. I found the combination of the raised texture and the geometric interlocking colors were irresistible. At the same time I discovered the Bavarian stitch I learned about the Cocoon shrug pattern, where you create a square of fabric of concentric rows, starting in the center and working outwards. Then fold the corners together, seam the arms and finish by crocheting a border around the bodice and the arm holes. I love how the Cocoon shrug wraps around the wearer's entire backside and arms, creating a fabric hug to nestle within. Anyone who has seen my work knows how much I love color so I created the Bavarian Shrug of vibrant hues.
