How it’s Made
My favorite technique for creating cardigans is the "Hexagon Cardigan" crochet technique. I start by crocheting two large hexagons in an exceptionally soft Okeo-Tex certified acrylic yarn in a "granny" stitch. The two hexagons are stitched together in the center back and the top sleeves seams are stitched as well. Next I added to the sleeves so that they are full length. And finally I crocheted around the entire bodice to create the front and bottom borders. This cardigan took approximately 30 hours to create.
